Has a person stranded somewhere ever been successfully recovered or found by sending a message in a bottle? I mean its customary on a deserted island, but has it ever worked in someone getting rescued?

This week they are encouraging members to fake time off to watch World Cup footie.
Last week they were encouraging people not to buy Puegeot cars, and therefore putting 5000 jobs at risk.
I am a member of AMICUS.
Is a trades union supposed to behave in this way, advising people how to take "sickies", and encouraging people not to buy cars and to destroy members jobs?

Wars between countries involve territory. Thus, there can be a definative winner if one's troops and or land are conquered. An ideaology cannot be shot, jailed or fought with physically...it can only be conquered by competing ideas. Have we been fed the biggest war propaganda line ever? Like the "war on drugs" or "the war on poverty" there is no end in sight.
