so apparently the 'confession' of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was given 'without duress' (Abc News), however the CIA abmits he was subject to water boarding a torture in which the victim is hung upside down with water flowing over their head, to induce the feeling of drowning, now im not saying he's innocent but i'm also certainly not implying that a 'confession' obtained under such circumstances can be considered to be 'without duress'. take the situation in Zimbabwae where opposition leaders have been beaten, this is torture, however i would suggest that being subjected to a drowning sensation for several minutes is also torture and of a worse kind then being beaten. i would rather be beaten then made to feeling like i was drowning. Shame on the US in the quest for 'freedom and democracy' the US govt has lost all sense of right and wrong and lowered themselves to the level of tyranical rygemes such as the taliban, Rober Mugabe, and so on. Has the US govt no morals.
