Last night he stated that the death of soldiers in Iraq are more important than the death of Anna Nicole Smith. That really bothered me. Each life born and lost is not more important than the rest. He also said he was not suprised Anna Nicole Smith was dead. I know she had her flaws but he just bashed her after her death. Who does he think he is. Just wondering if anyone felt the same.

has just stated. I have just returned from Rwanda where I met many, many people whose whole families had been wiped out during the 1994 Genocide.. they had NO-ONE... i met women who had been raped by multiple men during 1994 and were now living with Aids, unwanted children or injuries which left them ostracised from their communities.....THAT IS TRAGEDY

Why does the media have to make such sweeping statements? It is sad that she died but the tragedies in her life were self induced [ASIDE FROM HER SON'S DEATH].

She married a guy on his last legs and he unsurprisingly died a year later...how is that a tragedy??? She was in the media spotlight of her own volition and developed a drug/alcohol problem [yet still lived in comfort] .. how is that tragic?... She could have kept a lower profile and attempted to resolve her problems...

It just makes me angry that people in the West [and I am British] feel that we are so hard done by in life....

I heard once that at least one famous tourism blogger attained a status of a mainstream travel journalist, with hotels and attractions inviting him/her to visit and write reviews about their establishments.

Also I once read that a blogger has attained recognition by the White House and participates in news conferences alongside reporters from the traditional media.

Are these stories true? If so, where can I find evidence for them? Are there any other significant stories of governmental and commercial organizations officially recognizing bloggers?

For example, last year, I was living in Leeds when the raids took place on the houses of the suicide bombers. One of the houses was on my street. We were watching the reports on sky news and then 5 minutes later the house on my street was raided.
If anyone had been in the house, or there was any evidance, Sky news just tipped them off and they could have gotton away.
I think it is the same with a lot of things. Our media gives away too much, too early and they should not be allowed to report on anything untill all of the facts are established and the police allow them to go ahead.
Your views please?

For those of you who are making her sound like some saint, and not the gold digging whore that she really was, I have a couple of questions.

1) What has she done that's so great to be getting all of this press coverage? There are dozens of American servicemen/women dying weekly, sometimes daily, who get no coverage at all. How is what they do not more important than what some stripper/porn star/golddigger did during her life?
2) You all seem to "care" for her daughter sooo much. Did you know that in Africa, everyday, thousands of infants lose their mothers and fathers to war, starvation, diesease, and famine? Why didn't you "care" and worry about those children? I didn't see any posts from you all then.
3) Did you know that there are millions of fatherless children in the U.S.? Yes, there are, it's nothing new. Women have children out of marriage all the time. Why hasn't there been so much uproar about them all like there is w/ Anna Nicole Smith?

I think the terrorists wanted to take the focus off of the war so they poisioned her. CNN has barely mentioned the war since. Maybe it was the white house? The same thing happened to Marilyn.

I am a serious Anna Fan and Marlyn Fan, I have heard that Hugh Hefner has the plot near Marlyn I think that there needs to be a universal call from her (anna's) fans to get him to give up that plot for Anna because she loved Marllyn so much> By the way look at the picture of her and Larry Birkhead and her and Stern if you want to know who loved her more and who she loved more, Stern just knew to much about her and had her blackmailed, she really loved birkhead.

How could you be sentenced to 800 years in prison if you only live about 100 years? Does that mean the prison would hold your corpse within the cell, even after you die?
