Last night he stated that the death of soldiers in Iraq are more important than the death of Anna Nicole Smith. That really bothered me. Each life born and lost is not more important than the rest. He also said he was not suprised Anna Nicole Smith was dead. I know she had her flaws but he just bashed her after her death. Who does he think he is. Just wondering if anyone felt the same.

So what you are saying is that if you are not fighting the war in Iraq, your life is not worth as much as those who are. Are you fighting the war in Iraq? What good deeds have you done? I think God is the only one who can answer who lived a worthy life. I'm not saying her death is relavant to today's society, but to compare her to Hitler and Pol Pot is ridiculous and you know it. Her death only became an issue for me when someone in a respectable position mocked it.

It's all a question of TV Ratings.
O'Reilly has a huge audience and therefore very High TV Ratings so that Fox can ask very high prices from Advertisers on that show.
There Fox are going to keep him on so long as the money keeps rolling in.
This situation is one that is not unusual in the USA. There are
a number of shows with little cultural value that draw large audiences while a PBS Broadcast from Lincoln Center
draws a much smaller audience.

If you look at it from the perspective of what she offered the world... She rated very low on the scale. As a human though... Would you rate Hitler or Pol Pot?
All I'm saying is that even Hitler and Pol Pot were people and on that level alone they surely must have offered the world some redeeming quality. Right? Personally, had they been on fire and I was the only one to save them, I'd have prayed and let God put out the fire. And yes, I did fight in Iraq. And it's not a matter of supporting the war there or not, just that our people in uniform, offer up their blood, sweat and tears. All Anna offered was a playboy spread. How impressive is THAT?

Because Mr. O'reilly focuses on relevent issues. While I do feel that Anna Nicole Smith's death is a sad story of abuse, addiction and total chaos and dysfuntion, it is not relevent to the real problems we face every day in the world. Anyone that feels her death is an important issue should reexamine their priorities in life and why they are important.

I see what you are asking but he had to report on Anna Nicole
due to ratings......he knows that is what people want to hear and
why he is paid so handsomely.....

I don't think he meant to be disrespectful, but I do understand
what his point of view is about..

Because people watch his show. You must be,too.I didn't see it but it doesn't sound like bashing to me.Each life may be equally important. The way we choose to live is not.
