When I first heard about the Boston scare, and Adult Swim's 'Aqua Teen' cartoon, I was annoyed that Adult Swim didn't make the necessary arrangements to place the ads. I'm still not sure if I want to go see the movie, and I'm a fan.
But after reading CNN.com, I am absolutely disgusted with the Attorney General's comments. She said, and I quote: "It had a very sinister appearance... It had a battery behind it, and wires."
A BATTERY?? WIRES?? What were the batteries connected to by wire? A bunch of LEDS?? This is how she categorizes a clear and present danger... batteries and wires? What if I lose my cell phone in Boston? Will I be suspect of criminal activity? What about a radio, or a wrist watch, what???
I think the government's response was despicably ignorant. The ads were tolerated by a dozen of other cities. I may be treading a slippery slope, but it sounds like Al Qaeda could bleed our economy dry by dropping components bought from the local Radio Shack.
