For example, last year, I was living in Leeds when the raids took place on the houses of the suicide bombers. One of the houses was on my street. We were watching the reports on sky news and then 5 minutes later the house on my street was raided.
If anyone had been in the house, or there was any evidance, Sky news just tipped them off and they could have gotton away.
I think it is the same with a lot of things. Our media gives away too much, too early and they should not be allowed to report on anything untill all of the facts are established and the police allow them to go ahead.

No, ANON, I do not mean only muslims, I mean in all cases.
As soon as a potential story breaks, it is reported and 90% of it is speculation. Another example is yestreday Sun newspapers with theadline Anna Nicole dies from Drug overdose - pure specualtion.
It creates panic and is purley scare mongering.
Our nations media is no better than 2 housewives gossiping over the garden fence!!

Absolutely "Yes".
Now,there is a very strong case for this more than ever before in History!
There SHOULD be legislation curbing the Media`s infringment of Human Rights.
They would have us believe that they are protecting our human rights by providing us with "Much Needed Information".!!
OK, let`s try this then:
Perhaps the Industry would benefit from this simple Idiot`s Guide below:
IF THEY HAVE A SUFFICIENT LEVEL OF INTELLIGENCE AND A BACKGROUND OF STRONG FAMILY MORAL VALUES AND ETHICS they should be able to pull this one off! honestly!

If the world found out tomorrow would it matter a great deal?
Does It Affect Me?
Will it have an impact on me, my family and the rest of mankind?
How would it affect me if I didn`t find out immediately about alleged terrorists being arrested.
Would it wait until another time to find out?
Would it help at all or hinder if "I" waited until tomorrow to find out?
Would it make a huge difference to lives and safety of mankind?
Would it matter AT ALL if I never found out about this particular event?

In the case of a poor young model who has just died under unknown, though tragic circumstances.?

In the case of an epidemic of starvation and dying in Africa?

If we ask ourselves these questions before reporting the News or printing a Newspaper article we come up with pretty simple answers, don`t we?

You see, there are so many souls working in that industry and who rely on it for their livelihood. They get caught up in the collective thinking of the Industry and become deaf, blind and insensitive to alternative ways to report things that matter.

As a race, we must look around and say "What is it that I can do to help you or the situation?" That one question, asked genuinely will bring us back to our reasons for being here at all. In an instant we will recall our parents words when we were small about how to go on with others. We will find ourselves surrounded by moral and ethical messages that have been falling on deaf ears. We might even begin to remember how good it felt to do something for someone else.
I`m not an idealist. I know it works. All we need to do is keep at it, one step at a time, one day at a time and eventually our vision becomes global.More and more people are thinking this way right now.
Un untapped market in journalism awaits those who dare to report.

It`s a start... but a very good start in the right direction.
Anyone want to join me??

Do you mean only when it is Muslims? Should the British public not be informed as soon as possible of the existence of life threatening situations developing. How would feel if one of these extremists actually got through to committing their evil deeds.

I agree whole-heartedly, it's ridiculous. I remember a case where someone found out one of their loved ones had been killed from a tv news report footage - that must be devastating.
I also feel sorry for celebrities.

Although that does pose a problem for law enforcement, I don't think we're at a point in time where we need more restraint from reporters.
