Here I am, in a relatively progressive MidWestern college town, and I realize that I know almost nothing about what happened in the world today, except what my New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Lansing State Journal have so graciously bestowed upon me. I don't watch TV--so much propaganda--and is that any different than the newspapers, anyway? Just another a clueless American, I am, it seems--and, really, it's my fault. Where do you get your news? Do you care? And if you don't, is there hope that the United States will live up to its divinely appointed task?

Indian desi couple were nasty... they were trying to show off money and status in such a crude way and the lady god she said oh i wear only versache and she couldnt not pronounce"d ebt" properly and husbband was saying oh" i have masters in software" who cares don't be nasty... i hope people wont think that all indians are crude and hypocrate like that horrible couple

A student in UCLA lab was tasered several times in front of other people in the lab. Did the people in the lab take proper action? Can you describe their behavior as slothful for not doing anything about it? or were they indefferent? what would you do if you were there?

I don't get THIS: I asked the following: "Do people not get that the Colbert Report is NOT conservative?" There were only 2 answers and it was a week old. The question was NOT inflammatory, but a valid one. Why was it removed? Any feedback? Is this site REALLY conservative, both politically and in other ways, or what?

Im 25 &am having career crisis, I did a degree in accounting and wounded up as a trainee accountant - did you see that coming??! I took that route against all my creative will as I thought it'd give me a safe and secure future. But by gum am I bored stiff and dying to break out! My firm cant contain me and my non- conformity any longer and I need to get the hell out before I resign and give away my destroyed soul!! Ive always loved being colourful with words, flamboyant speech, detailed story telling - my emails are always OTT with far too much substance to be merely functional etc etc, so Ive decided perhaps writing is where its at. Question is how to make something out of it. I cant be impoverished for ever - so as much as I love learning, am unsure if I could do the 18 week NCTJ courses and on that basis how should I proceed? Voluntary work, unpaid articles seem to be the way to start, but supposing I succeed there, how do I turn these opportunites into more permanent (paid) work??
