China is of course communist. We look at china as an "enemy" of democracy, however due to china's economy, no one is shunning them out. China, unless a revolution happens, will seem to stay communist for quite some time, and they are now being looked at as a friend to the USA as the ever growing threats keep coming out of North Korea. Despite our military force, China will be the top force effecting NK. (China is on our side against NK)

Italy is a harder country to analyze. Italy is keeping it on the down low for the past decade. They were apart of the G-8 Summit in Scotland. They seem to be an a "Neutral" stance on everything. They aren't in the middle east, they are just keeping to themselves. A powerful country regardless, with a Strong economy as a background they are also a non-nuclear country, however they aren't just doing anything these days.
