A student in UCLA lab was tasered several times in front of other people in the lab. Did the people in the lab take proper action? Can you describe their behavior as slothful for not doing anything about it? or were they indefferent? what would you do if you were there?

Indifference. They saw the clear injustice and did nothing about it because of the fear the government and media have spread about anyone who may have a different color of skin. It is no different than when media and government told White America that black people were evil. The students probably assumed that the "terrorist looking" male was guilty and the campus police were right in tasing the student.
