Who Killed The Electric Car?
Copyright © 2006 Sony Pictures Classics

It was among the fastest, most efficient production cars ever built. It ran on electricity, produced no emissions and catapulted American technology to the forefront of the automotive industry. The lucky few who drove it never wanted to give it up. So why did General Motors crush its fleet of EV1 electric vehicles in the Arizona desert?

of course silly question really.is it likely that farepak bosses will ever come to book over what i call the biggest nationwide fraud of not well off people this country has seen in a long while.does anybody know if these peoples mansions and expensive cars are safe from the receivers.what a pity it would be 4 them to lose them.maybe then they could see how most of us have to survive and even worse after they what i can only describe as having stolen from thousands of people.

What Im asking is, Is he going to be responsible for the downfall of America?

Chris Rocks mother is suiing Cracker Barrel for Racial Discrimination because she sat at a restaraunt on an off time for over 30 minutes. First of all thats rediculous. Leave dont sue them. She must be bored. As soon as this lawsuit became national news Al Sharpton was on cnn.com sitting next to her talking for her.

What do you think? Is this all not rediculous?

As Adam, Noah, Ibrahim (Abraham), Loat, Ismaeel (Ishmael), Ishaq (Issac), Ya'qoob (Jacob), Yousuf (Joseph), Moosa (Moses), Haroon (Aaron), Dawood (David)0, Sulaiman (Solmon), Maryam (Mary) and Issa (Jesus) were all Muslims and their religion was Islam, why Jews and Christians today do not adopt their original name and follow the great and noble messengers? In that case there will be no fight and war on earth as Muslims share all their vlaues and believe in all aformentioned messengers. They perform Haj at Kabah which ws built by Abraham, They sacrifice in memory of great sacrifice of Ishmael (Thy only son, he was elder son) and rigth now Muslims are fasting just like Jesus and Moses from dawn to sun set. During this time they are not only supposed to refrain frm eating, drinking and smoking but also they must control their tongue, their eyes, their hands and their minds from evil thoughts. They have the final divine book; Quran which has protected all truth in previous divine books.

This lady rocks!
Still outside, Beth Greer had grabbed a gun from her car.
"I heard a shot go off and, of course, I just knew he had killed Tommy. In an instant, he stepped back into the garage. One step in the garage, still with his gun pointed at me, and I just opened fire on him. I just shot, shot, shot, shot," Beth Greer remembered.

Guess that punk felt lucky.

All I here about is Death to America so to speak when they seem to forget that America aided Afghanistan against the Russians, or that we have been in close ties with Jerusalem for decades, or that we stopped Germany from killing Jews and Pollacks....I'm sitting here wondering why it is that we are so hated by people when we have done nothing but, help most of this world...We aide Africa, we aided the victims of the Tsunami we dedicated our lives to helping people and lost countless people doing it we have never been invaded but, yet we have been in countless wars please explain to me how we are the big bully's on the schoolyard...And if it weren't through trades with Iran, China, Japan, and Europe there wouldn't be half as much economy for them it just doesn't make since SOMEONE PLZ EXPLAIN THIS TO ME!

I am a journalism student and need to seek out opinions on the veil debate for an article I am preparing. Where do you stand on the issue? Do you think it's all been blown out of proportion? Do you think it marks a step back in women's rights? What do younger/older people feel?

Obviously there is no right answer, but I would really appreciate your views. If you could give your age too, that would be helpful.

Many thanks!

Everytime the US attacks/invades someone, the driving policy is to bring freedom and democracy to the people. Wouldn't it it be more effective to forget the wider issues and just annihilate the source of whatever is seen to be the problem.. That is to say, destroy everything that is (or is associated with) the problem regardless of who gets in the way and keep doing it until the opposition is destroyed. In the aftermath what the general population want or think is for them to choose. The Israelis do this very well (ref:south Lebanon) This requires no long term occupation or presence in the area of conflict. I am not advocating war or conflict, but if you are going to do it...do it to win. ...is war about freeing people from tyranny or destroying your enemy....(and tough luck for anyone that gets in the way of you objective)
What do you think?

and I remembered about a year ago, at a Cracker Barrel in Knoxville, they took 20 minutes to bring our drinks, another 10 to take our order, and then the waitress messed up the order and got snippy saying we ordered wrong. We were nice and polite about it, manager offered to buy us dessert, which we declined.

So, I was thinking I'd email the Rev. Al Sharpton and see if he'd pay for my lawsuit against Cracker Barrel, I mean we were only offered a free dessert, not a free meal like the black lady was. That sounds like discrimination doesn't it? Think The Rev will pay for my lawsuit being a blonde hair blue eyed white female? If not, I could sue him too huh?

So, is everyone getting sick and tired of everything being made into a racial issue?

(By the by, I'm not rascist in any way, shape, or form. Got friends and acquaintances from all kinds of backgrounds that I love dearly. )
