of course silly question really.is it likely that farepak bosses will ever come to book over what i call the biggest nationwide fraud of not well off people this country has seen in a long while.does anybody know if these peoples mansions and expensive cars are safe from the receivers.what a pity it would be 4 them to lose them.maybe then they could see how most of us have to survive and even worse after they what i can only describe as having stolen from thousands of people.

If they can take the assets of criminals why not these directors. To me they are a bunch of criminals. They must have known what was going on yet still kept trading, taking peoples money. Is this not fraud? They should be held responsible for the company's debts, they are quick enough to share the profits.

I only found out yesterday (as had been away) that farepak had gone into receivership and burst into tears. What pis**es me off more is the fact that i am sure they will have a fab fab xmas without no guilt whatsoever on our bluming money. total wasucks!!!! I also read in another farefak forum (on this site) that someone had wrote it was only for council people and chaffs well i hope you read this IT WAS NOT. I don't live in a council house but was brought up in one and am proud and i am not a chaf and yet am i to understand what one is. Decent people of all classes put monies into this and what from ever class you are from it doesn't give farepak the right to swindle us. I rang my bank to cancel dd and you never guess what but farepak only took out the last two payments in one go and when i tried to challenged this the bank said that with a dd nobody had to be informed if the amount was upped or not So thatnk you to farepak ......hope you choke on everybody hampers and monies at evryones expense........a totally grieved honest person. And you what else grieves me is the fact that they had nearly 170000 customers, well a £ amonth would amount to that but they received either £10 - £200 a month which amounts to huge huge money with only about 300 staff where the hell has it gone????

there is an incredible amout of injustice surrounding this situation...

i set up http://www.unfairpak.co.uk - see if we can divert some energy into getting to the bottom of this and do what we can to make it better for those who are going to suffer hardship as a result of the European Home Retail group's failed strategy and mistakes. It would be amazing if there was no law broken. Apart from the law even the Grinch learned - Don't mess with Christmas!

All the people who are(were) in this scheme are the honest genuine ones trying to give their family (esp children) a decent Xmas. Single mums losing 100.00`s of £`s !!! The directors should be named and shamed and never allowed to operate again, and yes, their assets should be frozen/sold and used to recompense their `victims`....unfortunately this story is flavour of the month and will be forgotten by the press/media well before those affected have to explain why Xmas is crap to their kids on DEC 25th

It is a total disgrace but the victims are faceless collateral damage to the cruel people who have perpetrated this. Those poor families will get a pittance or nothing back. It is a lesson to us all, christmas is so commercial and has got so out of hand parents will do wothout all year to get what their kids want. The spirit of christmas is all but lost in schools too and we are gradually succumbing to pressure from other religions to give it up.

It's very sad for all those poor souls who've had their xmas stolen.I've never trusted any business,no matter how good their reputation, therefore i never pay for goods until i've received them. This Farepak crowd are just a bunch of crooks.
