Why is everyone Against America?

All I here about is Death to America so to speak when they seem to forget that America aided Afghanistan against the Russians, or that we have been in close ties with Jerusalem for decades, or that we stopped Germany from killing Jews and Pollacks....I'm sitting here wondering why it is that we are so hated by people when we have done nothing but, help most of this world...We aide Africa, we aided the victims of the Tsunami we dedicated our lives to helping people and lost countless people doing it we have never been invaded but, yet we have been in countless wars please explain to me how we are the big bully's on the schoolyard...And if it weren't through trades with Iran, China, Japan, and Europe there wouldn't be half as much economy for them it just doesn't make since SOMEONE PLZ EXPLAIN THIS TO ME!

Hi, I live in Australia. Kangaroos and Emus and the like. This is a long post.
America is disliked for many reasons.
The rest of the world, including your allies like my country are able to see your country in a way you are unable too. When you are too close to the problem of course you can't see it.
And another poster here is right, it is in part due to the media. Jay Leno is broadcast to many countries and when he goes out on the street and asks Americans basic questions about their own country and they don't know the answer it makes you all look stupid. When everyone else in the world is aware of your leaders, and policies. Jerry Springer is another show that America has exported showing themselves to be trailer "trash".
England, the Australia and other countries have run advertisements over the years seeking participants for such shows in their own countries and we all have too much self-respect and restraint. And the shows never happen. There is also foreign policy. America created the issue with Osama by training him. Same with Vietnam by refusing to talk with a THEN peaceful ally. When America snubbed the Viet leader he looked else where for support and the un winnable war happened. Chaney manufactured the war in Iraq. Even the CIA openly states this.
America says it is the land where dreams come true. But we see COPS, and 48 Hours, and other reality shows of people suffering gang wars in their streets. We see homeless people dying in parks in your great caring country.
You have freedom of speech. But your government is clamping down ever more on what can be said.
The people of America are played like puppets on a string with threat levels...all to the benefit of the government. A fearful state is a voting state.
But then America lectures the world on war crimes and torture but then commit these acts themselves. The gun-ho US troops kill countless UK troops in "friendly" fire.
I could go on and on.
I agree that poorer nations, Pakistan, India etc may be jealous of the US. But the UK, OZ, NZ, Germany, France etc aren’t jealous.
Hell you export you culture to us. We might as well be another star on your flag.
But we all have low violence.
Americans hate Canada. Why?
Cause they have less violence, less crime. They feel safer as a nation.
America is the pretty girl that thinks everyone is jealous of her. When they think she is just a stuck up cow.
After 9/11 I went on the net as a friend was in New York on holiday and was due to go to the towers. (She went the day before).
Americans were accusing AUSTRALIA of crashing planes in to the towers.
The bloody Aussies??? What the?
Some Americans have simply stuffed your countries image up. American celebs. come to Australia and slag off the President and apologise for being American. But if they said that at home it would be unpatriotic. Is it unpatriotic to admit when your government stuffs up? The rest of the world is happy to stand up to their leaders. Why not the US?
Sorry if this is offensive. It isn't meant to be. It is just a small number of the complaints I here discussed over the dinner table when world politics are discussed.

I live in Greece (I am greek american) and I think its the way the media portrays America. It seems like America likes to act like they own the world...unfortunately once one bad thing happens all the good that the US has done flies out the window and is forgotten.

Maybe it is because they use more than 80% of the Earth's resources and have less than 1/8 the population.

They turned away Jewish refuges during WW2 when the needed a safe harbor.

The child-molestor sometimes gives candy to the victim. Being False or Phony tells on itself.

We can't be too awful hated ; people are still risking life & limb to get here . As for insanity - I have no explanation for it . Envy is a possibility ...communism ..another ..Liberal democrats on the far left hate what America stands for -they start the hate rumors -and terrorists take their cues from them . Don't think they don't .

Ironic isn't it ? They come here to our schools to get an education , take what they have learned , and use it against us , but they love our freedoms , i know what you mean , if they hate us so bad why do they continue to come here and decide to stay ?

People are jealous of what we have here in the US. The freedoms that enable us to do more and make more and just be who we want to be. What they are really saying is we want what you have and we have no idea of how to get it. They have no idea of how hard we work to keep what we have. But they all want to come here.

If it stops interfering in internal matters of other countries then i think americans would be safer you can win only by love, peace & mutual understanding .
