this annoyed me so much.
i got my sister to come up and look at the article, and we were doing imitations of what the news reporters and/or the celebs may have said when they heard the news.
"ohmygod, it's ONLY $600!? but last year it was $50,000! that is NOT even worth getting! ewww!"
but you know what?
$600 IS a lot, and in case these over-priviledged celebs didnt know this, most people would LOVE to receive a gift like that.
i couldnt believe yahoo! would be shallow enough to put this on the site as one of their headliners. maybe they didnt have anything else to put in.

well, anyway, all i wanted to ask was..
who else felt the same flash of annoyance when they read that article?

These people have nothing to lose or gain no matter who the president is. Why is it that we take so much stock in what it is that they think about the different runners? Does anyone else think it is sad that we allow these people (people who have little or no education in the political aspect) to dictate what our thoughts are, based on the roles they pretend to be.

What is their relationship, since they've been living together so long now? Did Shawn ever see his parents on the news? Did he ever try to escape? Why did the kidnapper take Ben Ownby? Did he get bored with Shawn?

By now the whole world knows that the US Military is useless.
Iran, North Korea knows very well that we cannot even control
a bunch of illiterate tribes in Iraq. even our past with Korea in the 50's, Vietnam.where we got our *** kicked. Korea, Iran, Syria, China. knows very well they can do what they like , because we are not capable of doing anything about it. our only solution is to apologize to the world for our bad behavor. We need a leader who will unite us with the world, but big business will not allow it. We need to redirect our focus. Sadly we are headed towards the fall of America. I am a absolute proud American. but we are very wrong what we are doing. what do you think?

I just rented "Road to Guantanamo", and the lady at blockbuster looked at the cover and said "hmmm, road to guantanamano..."; obviously she never heard of the film, much less the place, much less what goes on there. Is this America in a nutshell, and is this why Bush and co. have not been removed?

Do you think his comments were worth the hassle they are creating in Aust, or do you think it is a media beat up? Or was he completely misquoted and actually said "great country I love the place"? If some one made such gross generalisations about your countries past and then called you all liers would it be fine? I am trying to get a bit of perspective here. We only have the media version as most Aussies dont speak Arabic and only heard a few seconds of dialogue with a translation over the top.

he's a registered sex offender in utah. if you have heard the news, they both have been found. i figured they both had been murdered. this is just amazing, and i just can't wait till they crucify this jerk. i'm sure shawn did not have a happy life for the past 4 yrs. would like some opinions on the what you think about the mentality of an abductor like this.
