There is a lot of controversy back and forth between everyone as to what we should be doing in Iraq. So the question is what should we be doing and is it time for us to back out and let them start to govern themselves or should we be sending in more troops and escalating the situation? Will either approach work or is there a better way?

there are umpteen questions and answers on this subject and thousands of people in the administration of President Bush -- whose only livelihood comes from "answering questions such as yours". I respectfully submit they are more experts on the topic than "we, the small but nonetheless important people of this planet" are not apt to give a precise response to the question. I must add it is a very valid question since life and death is in question too. Having stated my opening remarks -- I would strongly urge all parties to sit at a round table (not a square one) and put on the table their cards for the people .Only then, a compromise solution could be obtained. Number one issue -- there should be reconciliation and amnesty for those whose hands are not tainted with blood -- you can not simply charge a whole nation's population and limit their livelihood because in the past they belonged to the wrong side of the equation. I leave the rest -- for the officials to digest and comment. Hope it helps, somewhat.

More like "What are we doing in Iraq?". For those that do not understand. Its a thought process. You see the many muslims dislike the american ideology because the "americans" only respect money. Family sues each other, dad pimps his daughter, and it seems america is a sell-out- america is all about the money by any means necessary- everyone knows that. Accepting this way of life is completely against Islamic Beliefs. An American victoy in Iraq is near impossible because even though the muslim factions fight amongst themselves there, none of them side with america. So all muslims around the globe want to see peace in Iraq, but none of them wants America to be responsible, because this would mean a triumph of money and deception over firm religious beliefs. I can go on and on, and I am quite certain I have plausible and sound ideas to achieve peace in Iraq- but that would require the willingness to learn, it would require humility, sincerity, integrity and honesty- none of which the American representatives value too much.

Sending more troops, I believe 20,000 will only escalate more violence. I assure you Iran, Syria along with other Muslim countries is sending more artillery & soldier's into Iraq as we speak. The USA should have left that area a long time ago. But we have over three-thousand young men and women that have lost their lives & coming home if they make it, with no arms or one arm and one leg, for what? Our Soldier's do not have proper equipment to sustain a blow from the road side bombs. Bush wanted in Iraq to get Sadam because his father failed to stop him in using nuclear weapon's against his own people! These shites and sunnis have been fighting each-other since the beginning of time!
I support the Troops but not the war!
