The question of global warming is complex, vastly so and I don't expect a layperson like myself to answer this question with any significant degree of scientific knowledge. Apparently there are only a handful of scientists that can legimitately debate global warming.

But I'm just curious whether the true global warming experts have managed to convince the public of this potential danger. Do we have faith in them?

Media goes into detail on web sites where & how to make bombs, drugs, what household or over the counter store items can be used. Every day how & why someone is killed. Websites that are harmful for kids and give the site address. Rarely explained is a solution. There is to much said. And they're defence, It's news. Where are the morals? Kids are courious by nature. Its not always bad parenting. Whats wrong with kids today? Hummm I wonder.

Some people are nostalgic about the Nineties, Seventies.. But eras don't start or end like that. I'm nostalgic about the Millennial period, say 1996-2002 - arts, politics, architecture and of course the economy were all looking up. Though of course the world wasn't perfect, I agree with agent Smith in The Matrix: 1999 was good, it went downhill from there. Even The Matrix 2 and 3 were letdowns :o)
Do you agree, disagree, or have anything to add?

I mean, if we try to prevent possibilities of human annihilations of planetary proportions, shouldn't we stop developing, mass-producing, and selling those weapons?

If we mean what we say, and act on what we say, only then we can give meaning to our genuine love for all humanity, truth to our proclaimed goodness, restoration our dignity and national pride, and truly model the democracy we believe in.

Can we all find peace in winning a war? Can we bring unity to the world if we sit alone in the throne of power?

What's the real measure of great power?

Let me share this quote--

"An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind", spoken by Mahatma Gandhi.

And I'd say, "Without a vision of peace and unity in the world is worse than going through a lifetime of being blind."

What do you think will be the effects of Cuba without Castro?
Me I see these things as very likely. Cuba will revolt against Castro's successor. Thousands maybe more Cubans living in exile in America will go back to Cuba. I see Cuba becoming a strong nation inside a decade, and also a Democratic nation. The effects on Marxism in Latin America will be profound. Economic success in Cuba will undermine Marxist Governments very quickly and Cuba will be the destination of choice for many in Latin America. Will be interesting to see how they handle imigration. Question is whether they can keep corruption under check. Won't take long for investments to dry up if Cuba cannot control corruption.
What do you think?

Yea i understand that inncocent ppl are being killed in lebanon, but ppl die everyday. not to say i dont care about them because its sad whats going on over there but i really dont believe why we are doing so much to help them beacuse if the same thing was happening to us here i dont believe for one second lebanon would help us out. plus we are in a war of our own so i dont think we should put whatever we're supposed to be accomplishing (which i have not seen any progress except outrageous gas prices & our troops getting killed) on hold to save a whole other country.

I was raised catholic (although I don't realy practice it anymore). Mel Gibson is probaly our most famous catholic (since the Kennedys). Now he is spouting all this antismetic c rap! I hope other people do not think that catholics think this stupid way. Who was offended by his views? After hearing this, were you under the impression that all catholics feel this way?
