Yea i understand that inncocent ppl are being killed in lebanon, but ppl die everyday. not to say i dont care about them because its sad whats going on over there but i really dont believe why we are doing so much to help them beacuse if the same thing was happening to us here i dont believe for one second lebanon would help us out. plus we are in a war of our own so i dont think we should put whatever we're supposed to be accomplishing (which i have not seen any progress except outrageous gas prices & our troops getting killed) on hold to save a whole other country.

Well ...you should care...because after all ...this war was from green light from USA to Israel..
The Bombs are from your TAX...

Supporting the terrorism of Israel in the way that USA made will affect on American community by increasing the hate for USA...Violence..terrorism..more selling to Israel and finally oil price... which will increase the money in George bush pockets..

Many, many people feel that what Israel and America are doing in Lebanon is wrong. They don't feel America is rescuing Lebanon, they feel America and Israel are the cause of the Middle East problem.

As to why it's important to worry about these things: Humans have been killing each other for a millinia now. The reason is mostly because we feel that resources are short or we need more land. It's also mostly because we beleive that there are too many humans and that the other bunch of people are useless.
That in my opinion is not true. Strength is relative but no one is truely useless. I feel we should focus on efficiency and educating every one and then use science as a tool to solve the worlds problems.

The reason for the outrageous gas prices is because of America's gas guzzling ways. Look resources are ALWAYS limited. It's like hard disk space - you have 10 GB and you want 40; when you have 40 you want 200. We (the whole world) should focus on improving efficiency NOT play "kill the weird Arab and steal his oil". Mind you, the middle east and third world countries have serious problems - corruption, illiteracy, lack of rights for women etc. Trouble is war and killing are inefficient ways of solving stupidity.

As to why it's important to you :). We are all humans. We inhabit one tiny planet called Earth. Time is not a endless resource and we should force ourselves into maximizing efficiency. Some day we will meet other races from across the universe and they will not always be friendly! Think what happened to the Red Indians. They were so busy in-fighting they never saw the bigger problem that came across the oceans.

You have to care if you are a human being.
It's your government which is supporting this cruel war, with American taxes. do you want that?

why should some innocent people suffer and been killed for the others cruelties?

Devil lives in Israel! Actually, they have this crazy belief that this land is theirs, even though their messiah hasn't come yet and they cannot claim it as their land until he comes. So technically, they shouldn't even be there. The only reason they're still alive is because the US backs them up. Otherwise, the Germans or the Arabs would have wiped them off the face of this earth. They're horrible people. They bombed hospitals, escape roads, airports, bus stations. They bombed civilians trying to escape in cars and buses, and they bombed a PREDESIGNATED UN PEACEKEEPING LOOKOUT! All that over two soldiers? Yes, I must admit that Hezb-allah is retaliating, but what would you do if bombs are being dropped over your head. You'd fight back any way you can.

If we mean what we say, and act on what we say, only then we can give meaning to our genuine love for all humanity, truth to our proclaimed goodness, restoration our dignity and national pride, and truly model the democracy we believe in.

Can we all find peace in winning a war? Can we bring unity to the world if we sit alone in the throne of power?

What's the real measure of great power?

Let me share this quote--

"An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind", spoken by Mahatma Gandhi.

And I'd say, "Without a vision of peace and unity in the world is worse than going through a lifetime of being blind."

Why shouldn't you? Maybe they couldn't help us if we needed help, not that doesn't mean that they wouldn't. We are the super power of the world. We usually don't need anybody's help. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't help others. If anything, it means that since we are more capable, we SHOULD be helping other people period. It's what God would want. Plus you get more out of life by giving than getting. Trust me, it's true.

Because we are all people. Simple as that. I am Jewish and still care about the Lebanese, I just want the killing to stop, and peace, but there are so many radicals that don't allow or want that to happen.
