I mean, if we try to prevent possibilities of human annihilations of planetary proportions, shouldn't we stop developing, mass-producing, and selling those weapons?

If we mean what we say, and act on what we say, only then we can give meaning to our genuine love for all humanity, truth to our proclaimed goodness, restoration our dignity and national pride, and truly model the democracy we believe in.

Can we all find peace in winning a war? Can we bring unity to the world if we sit alone in the throne of power?

What's the real measure of great power?

Let me share this quote--

"An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind", spoken by Mahatma Gandhi.

And I'd say, "Without a vision of peace and unity in the world is worse than going through a lifetime of being blind."

Well, Einstein have warned us all about his theory of Energy. He want a brighter and positive world. But he is also the one who said that in every action there is an opposite reaction.

Anyway, who wants communism that is lead and founded by a ruthless and self served leader? No one! So, the build up of Grand Design Weapons was created, for their strategic defense.

Then Greed and Power soon takes over, especially where money was found in selling their arsenals! And with Graft and Corruption, could the U.N and America pursue their objectives in proliferation of weapons? It could not happen overnight but it will get there.

I have heard somewhere that in death you could find peace and solace. But, Great Power? Throne of Power? I only heard that on people who seeks them. So, Jesus said that "bless are those who are meek, for they shall inherit the Kingdom of God".

The real measure of Great Power has already been achieved and had been abused already! And now, the enemy that lurks on the human race is the human race itself!

So I say, seek the words of wisdom of all people who have enlighten us in our daily lives... Gandhi, Einstein, Washington, Muhammad, and other great people... but above all the Wisdom of God with Jesus Christ.

That is a great sentiment and very beautifully stated.
Reality check! The US is not the only sponsor of the UN check the Charter. The US is not the only country with nuclear weapons technology. The US has never sold nuclear weapons technology to any country ever! There are lots of countries that have and will continue to do so even though they also signed the non proliferation treaty. The conscientious of the signatories was and still is that compliance will be monitored by an independent agency (IAEA) which only monitors and reports the results to the UN. There is no military arm to this unit therefore compliance to inspection is sometimes a controversy
so now your back to a stand off. so I guess that the majority of the world is blind to the truth. What makes the US the one responsible for this. People have a false understanding of what is said and what is done so often the leaders in the US to make comments on these situations and ordinary people like yourselves believe mistakenly that if we comment on it we must be doing something about it wrong! listen what is actually said, most of the time the statement is in response to question and NOT a statement of policy! reaper out........

The USA does sponsor the UN. Why? because chicken $hit countries like yours have no money to spend on helping other people, because your to busy spending your money blowing people up! All the UN is good for is holding up a tin cup at the USA. Then blaming the USA, Britain, and Israel for the worlds problems. They are so morally and financially bankrupt they can not afford a organ grinder!

The US is not a sponsor of the UN.

The US hates the UN, they are considered a pain and a block to what the US wants to do.

The US frequently vetos UN resolutions, especially when they concern their friend Israel.

The US hates the UN, that's why the UN is in New York. Remember the old saying - keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer.
