The USA is by far the world's leader in medical research funding, productivity and knowledge. Yet by ALL measures we are not doing enough. We NEED to "crack some heads together" and bring the best minds into a "room" and force them to come to some solutions (typical and atypical solutions).

Almost half the people alive today will have cancer in their lifetimes.

That's a damn epidemic. And what are we doing about it? If you went back and added up all the budgets for the National Cancer Institute over the past THREE DECADES, we spent as much money on cancer as we spend in Iraq in NINE MONTHS.

It's time for a bold initiative to combat this disease which kills 560,000 Americans every year.

It was Germany who caused all the genocide. When Germany was defeated, it was just for the Jews to get a land of their own. So why didn't the winning powers (US, Britain, Russia) give a part of Germany itself to the Jews?

Why was the Palestinian land chosen to be given to Israel? What authority did the winning powers have to give somebody else's inhabited land to the Jews?

I am totally for Jews getting a country of their own? But why not somewhere else or even a part of Germany? After all, the Jews were all-over. They were in Germany, Poland, Hungary, Russia, US, France, Belgium, Czech, Belgium. Why did they want only the Arab owned land on the Mediterranean?

From what I have heard North Korea is trying to send long range missles to the cities of Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Kanas City, and so on, I cannot remember the rest of the names. There are seven missles, and they have all failed, but I would not like to count on the fact that they all failed, and start believeing that they will never be able to reach us. The seven missiles all landed in the Japan sea. What posseses someone to do so? Why? To get people killed? To show power? To start another world war? I ask this because if people are in danger, how can we stop this?

My husband has been here illegally for 8 years, together for 7,married for 3. He does not qualify for any type of program. We have a life together, a 5-year-old, he has no crimanal record, pay's taxes, contributes to society, speaks limited English and basically has assmilated in the United States. He has escaped raids as he watched others being treated like murderer's. Without the immigration reform laws we will have to live in constant fear forever. Why is it that Mexicans, Indians, and Philipinos denied any type of papers, there are no Visa's for these people???? yet Central Americans are able to obtain documents through a lottery, anyone from Russia, Germany, Poland, Europe, even some parts of South America are able to obtain papers and bring others here and they are not even born here. I was born in D.C. and am not able to help my husband. Ain't that some poo?? Please, don't believe that all forigners are terrorists, open your mind and hearts, fear is ignorence.REFORM NOW!!!
