Well, people can pray at home instead of making the church rich. Thats why I stopped going...all about the money and who has it and how much you can give...wheres the love of God in that?
Your idea sounds like a good one!

It's already happened: as church attendance has declined in our country, a moral decay has infested our society. We no longer have much respect for authority because authority lacks any respect for us. We no longer are civil and polite because we prefer the sensationalism and "shock value" of rudeness, crude language, uncultured sexuality, and uncivilized behavior.
Church attendance could very well lead to community service work. Religion and volunteerism go hand in hand.
You're more apt to find regular church-goers also participating in their local Kiwanis club, Lions club, or soup kitchen. But TV and movies today have encouraged most of us to embrace the profane and secular ways of life instead of the humane and shared sense of community unity. -RKO- 07/08/06

If people don't go to church, the world would be a worse place. Yeah, community service and building houses sounds nice and all, but the reason everyone isn't a murderer is because they go to church because they want to go to heaven and be with God.

They would stop participating in the Sacraments, stop confessing their faith, and therefore they would simply be people doing nice things with no guidance or reason.
Why not go to church and help out with charities, God didn't say to do it for one hour a week, he said "love your neighbor as yourself" always.

Everyone would have 10% more money, and less little kids would get molested.
