I have been offered a 10 month term in Harris County Jail with underestanding the Felony charge will be lowered to a misdemeanor.
My other option is serve probation for five years and keep a Felony convition.
I currently serve probation for DUI.

My main concerns are for employment. Is a Felony Theft looked at the same a Misdemeanor Theft?

My dad really wants to start his own business in gardening. He already has a little one, that he's had for many years, but he can take it so much further. It's just that he seems too concerned about what may happen if everything goes wrong. He has about 15 years of experience, and I know that he would be a total success. I feel like it's up to me to make his dream come true, and I hope that someday I can. Any ideas on how maybe I can help him get started? Thanks in advance!! :)

I know about small claims court, so right now I am writing him a letter offering to settle out of court for $2000, or go to court for $3600 (the costs of his repairs that were not done correctly.) I want to know if this is reasonable and also what the specific laws are governing this type of thing. I have taken the truck back to him for rework five times since the initial "repairs." BTW, I live in CA

What is a good job for me? I think retail is okay and have had at least 5 years expierience but i need to work full time and make at least $1200/month. Not many retail positions that pay that, i don't think. Would waitressing do? I have also been a nanny, but don't want to do that anymore. any suggestions?

I'm thinking about starting my own in-home daycare; maybe just 4 kids max to start. Anybody have any experience with this? Please let me know the major necessary things you gotta know, pros and cons, and tips on having as little startup cost as possible. I am located in Gardena, CA and if you reside or run your business in the southbay area (torrance/gardena/hwthorne/redondo/manhattan beaches/etc), I'd like to pay you a visit if its okay with you :o) Thanks for your support!

I want to now as much as I can about architects and interior designer. In doing my research, I have noticed that these professions can be quite similar. Is that the case? I do not care about their pay or what their prestige is.

When an architect completes a job, such as creating a store in a mall, do they hire interiors to complete the job or do they complete it themselves?

Thanks for your experience!

I paid for flight lessons in full prior to Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. Subsequently, the flight instructor left town with acknowledgement that the company owes me approximately $2,000. Since November, I have not had any response from the flight instructor. The company I wrote the check out to still exists according to Louisiana's corporation database, and I know the registered agent. I would like to go to small claims court to receive my remaining balance. Any suggestions?
