I did ....twice in college (go Nittany lions), anyways.... it was okay..there's a bit of training you have to go through (CBL's I believe) then you hit the floor. It's best to get into a department (ie. sporting goods, toys, etc.)... cashiering can be a bit boring!

I used to work for wal-mart about 9yrs ago, Talk about used and abused. I never condone anyone for having a job and doing the best that they can but please try not to develop the wal-mart attitude lol After about a month there you'll know what I'm talking about :0)

Edit: I do agree with what Beverly said the women are not treated as fairly I'm sad to say, hopefully things may have changed.

I worked there a long time ago.I'll never do it again.I think the last time I set foot in Wal-Mart was two months ago.At least a month, anyway.Hate the place. They're going "Super" soon, and moving to the outskirts of town, and then I will never go.I think they should have to pay for the empty buildings they leave behind, until someone else can move in.I HATE Wal-Mart.That is the only thing I can say that about.I feel for you.Good luck!

Women are not treated as fairly as the men. Men have more opportunities to advance and earn more money.

My girlfriend is a CSM (customer service manager) and she hates it there because all the managers are a**holes and they are really stupid with everything (schedules, managing people, etc.)
