I have a family membership to the YMCA. I would like to have my son join me in my workouts, but he does not meet their age requirements. How do I force them into allowing me since I pay for his membership?

Some YMCA's provide babysitting services so you can work out and your child will be taken care of. If your YMCA does not provide this, you should look into getting a babysitter for the times that you work out. The reason they do not allow children in workout areas is for their own safety.

At maximum YMCA's i have ever been at, the cutoff age for boys interior the womens' locker room, and vice versa, changed into 4-5 years old, and that i imagine it is an ok cutoff... any older is unquestionably pushing it. notwithstanding, all of those places have also had 'kinfolk' replacing rooms/restrooms for households with diverse genders or developmentally disabled people and their caretakers. also, i do not imagine you may want to problem about the boy being 'demanding' - adult adult males can get erections for actually no reason in any respect and at any age, so except that boy has been heavily over-sexualised, it changed into maximum probably a twist of destiny. So, i have were given 2 innovations: the first is to cover up somewhat. except they were pulling the bathe curtain aside or some thing like that, only keep your towel close by and only wrap up with that before exiting the bathe stall. even as replacing, drape it round your shoulders or some thing till you get your undies on, and keep your again to them so there is no longer truly some thing for them to be certain. And 2d of all, surely talk on your boss about being uncomfortable with that - even the pool I went to as a newborn, which had a cutoff age for boys interior the ladies locker room, only post an trouble-free timber-framed replacing room interior the nook after mum and dad kept complaining they did not favor their boys interior the mens room (it turned right into a sketchy part of a sketchy city) yet they were too old for the ladies' room.

When you paid your membership you agreed to their terms and conditions. So you are screwed until he gets of age.

Children shouldn't be lifting weights. Even boys in high school can develop problems from lifting weights.
