I was badly injured by an ex-husband who showed up at my home in the middle of the night pistol whipping me, beating me and shooting at me, hitting me once with a bullet. My employer was so concerned stating that I didn't have a thing to worry about. That I had a job to come back to when I was able to return. When I was able to return, I was called in the Manager's office, before I ever got in the door good, and was told that I had lost my position as a Administrative Assistant/Reporting Clerk. My new position was in the accounting dept. and provided me virtually no work. Four working days later I was told that my salaried status had been removed. Seven working days later I was given my walking papers.

So I didn't get my Sunday paper this morning and called the company. An automated voice came on and had me say things like "Did you get your paper?" etc. All voice recognition and automated. The funny thing was that it made typing sounds like it was entering info on a typewriter or loud keyboard like a real call. I'm not sure what to think about that!

My daughter cleaned out her room and wants to get rid of some of her toys. I would really like to see these toys get put to good use, rather than just throw them away.

It is clear that panhandling and soliciting for contributions is against the Rules of Conduct on the New York City Subway. People that claim to be working for the United Homeless Organization are soliciting for contributions on the Subway.

I have zero tolerance for anyone that commits an act in violation of the Rules of Conduct on the Subway. What can I do to put a stop to this?

I have slight stutter when I talk, if I am exicted I talk really fast. The 1st time a new manger saw this she thought I was drunk. She told other manager about this, but never talked to me about it. I find out about it was nervous to goto work. Then few days go she thought was drunk and called the cops. I took a breathalyzer and passed. I feel like this is harassment for no reason. This manager is really new and really does not know what is going on.

A lot of young couples starting out these days seem to have a solution to paying the mortgage and keeping mom at home tending the hearth: Opening a daycare center and making their yards into playgrounds and the driveway a delivery and pickup center. Is this in fact a statement to the rest of the neighborhood,
If you don't like the noise and the traffic, you can move out
because we don't care? Noise and traffic are growing concerns in our nations cities, towns and villages. Why compound the problem by allowing businesses such as day-care centers in residential neighborhoods? Is there any way to know these days before you buy a home whether it is zoned for or against such businesses?
