Women's Health - October 2006

In regards to RU-486, 5 women have died and there had been evidence of the drugs adverse side effects, even before it was approved. How many people must die before a drug is finally approved. This is for my pharmacology class.

I have a sharp pain in vagina that radiates to lower abs.sometimes it subsides for a week. then i constantly have a burning feeling on lower abs. there is no uti, but there is blood in the urine, the doc says.( i cant see it, but tests do. i have had blood on tissue after a bowel movement for past two days,but i cant tell if it is from my hemroid i have had for a long time. she said(three days ago, to come in next mo to get urine tested again, but the burning is bothersom at times. should i wait or go in again?

I was an at-home Mom for 15 years - suddenly divorced and working. I had to work long and hard for the last 8 years to make ends meet - now, I have no identity other than my "work". I am afraid of slowing down, because I wouldn't know what to do with myself.

okay. im 15 and i been using tampons for..awhile.since iw as 12.
well... theres a problem. once before a tampon came up missing.. i didnt notice it till after i went to the bathroom. second. it happend
again and yeah..now it happend.. do you think they are falling out? or are they like going too far...couz after today. it happend.. and i felt sick after it happend

I've been reading alot lately about how the new vaccine against human papilloma virus (HPV), which can cause cervical cancer, is going to be offered to girls and young women between 16-26. But what about women older than that? I have a friend who's 30, for various reasons she has not had sex yet. (She's too ashamed of this fact to tell anyone, so I'm asking this for her).

She plans to become sexually active soon, and would like to get the hpv vaccine, but she's not sure if she will be 'allowed'. Will she??

I work a job where I stand all the time for 8 hours a day , 5-6 days a week. Recently my foot has had some mild burning sensation to it, particularly at the top region, spread out, but I have been ignoring it. Tonight, as I got out of my car and stood up, I felt a very severe burning sensation, much worse than before on my foot in the same area...like something exploded in there...just wondering what it may be before I head to the doctors. Please don't tell me to go see the doc, because I will, I just want to see what it may be first. thanks.

I took a tablet of tylenol yesterday for my cold, and I'm just wondering if it actually messes up the birth control pills. I've heard that taking anti-biotics would really affect birth control pill and you need an alternate contraceptive; would tylenol be included as well?

Im finding the ones to test urine with, but Ive been trying to conceive for almost 2 years now, and for the last 8 mos, I keep getting yeast infections and I really feel my ph might be off (on a regular basis, not just with the infection) which I know can kill sperm and also cause infections....My Dr. is very "laid-back" telling me to be patient, but I strongly feel this can be whats causing both problems for me...nothing else wrong to be causing this...and partner has been ooked at, hes not the problem..Anyway if anyone knows where I can get thease test strips or any advice please write....
