ok if everybody can send me 50 cents in the mail, thats just 2 quarters that reads this, i will most likely be rich in a year or so. I will pick 100 or so (depending on how uch money i get) people and give them half of whatever i make. The chances are much greater than scratch off or the lottery, so email me at nystreetguru@hotmail.com with subject MONEY SCHEME and i will give you my pay=pal or my address thank you.

Do you HAVE to be considerate of the other players at the table? Is there some kind of "etiquette" or "code" regarding that?

I realize that a bad play from one player can screw it up for everyone at the table except the person who made the play. One time when I was playing, there was a woman who kept doing the total opposite of basic strategy, but yet and still, she kept winning, while the rest of us were losing.

Example, she would take a hit on 14 while the dealer was showing a 5. Her hit card would be a 7, so she would win, but the rest of us who "stood" with our 13's and stuff lost because the dealer didn't bust out!

Everyone at the table was pissed at the time including me, but when I thought about it later, I said to myself "why should she care if we lost, as long as she won. She's here to win money for herself, not to make sure everyone wins".

Do I HAVE to be considerate of the table,or can I do what I want to make sure I win, and say screw everyone else?

I live in Indiana and nobody has won the lotto in forever. Several times the lotto has been bigger than the Powerball with over 10 times the likelihood of winning than the Powerball lottery itself. Surely they can keep track of all the numbers out there and somehow rig the machine to not pick those numbers or to pick the numbers that certain individual related to the inside have. What kind of controls if any are in place to protect those of us who play? Is it possible mafia and or corrupt individual's are taking advantage? Any information or respectful opinions will be appreciated.

I can never decide how to play them. My friend who I play regularly with always plays 'em hard and gets away with it alot of the time. When I try, however, it's usually a disaster.

Now the word 'luck' is a little ambiguous. I mean, for instance, when people rush (ie, believe that since the last couple of hands were strong, the next one will have more chance of winning).

I am quite a rational person and have a good understanding of probability, but sometimes my good (or bad) luck seems so consistent it borders on a joke. "oh what a suprise (not), 8 3 off"... or... "that's the 4th high pair in half an hour".

I play backgammon too and sometimes it seems there is nothing you can do about your opponents dice. At other times you win but don't feel like you deserve it because you've been so lucky.

Is it all just random happenstance that by the law of averages sometimes gives the impression of a luck factor or is there something spooky going on?

I've heard that your state of mind can have an effect on outcomes. What is your opinion?

Would this strategy actually work?

you bet 1.
if you lose, you bet 2, if you win, you bet 1 again.

if you bet 2 and lose, you bet 4, then if you lose that, you bet 8, then 16, then 32 ect.

whenever you win, you bet 1 the next round.

so lets say you had 1,000 bucks. you bet 1 and lose, 999

you bet 2 and lose 997

then you bet 4 and lose 993

then you bet 8 and win and then have 1001, then it starts over again.

would this work???

I think everyone has a positive and negative financial tally throughout their lives. If I am a 3 million dollar man (5000 a month salary for 50 working years), When I lose 5000 dollars, i think of it as my duty to work one extra month or one month of unpaid work. If anyone can understand what I mean by these stupid stuff, please give me a good psychological advice. I don't want to end up working unpaid through the rest of my life. I know I am bad at games. But I get a lot of energy and feelings of happiness when I win.

as i have recently changed my lottery numbers i would like to find out if they have ever been drawn as a winning selection before. i don't think the odd's on them being drawn twice can be very high.
is there a web site or something out there that tells you this information.
this is for the uk lottery and yes, i know it goes back a few years.

I can never decide on a useful strategy for low to middle pairs in poker.

If I call preflop and hope for a set I only hit an eighth of the time on the flop and even then I am sometimes beaten by a straight or flush or whatever.

If I bet big preflop like I do with the big pairs either everyone's going to fold and I pick up the blinds or I get callers with higher pairs or overcards that are quite likely to hit something on the board.

I think I am a reasonably good poker player on the whole but low to middle pairs are a real hole in my game that I want to patch up.

Help me please!
