Also, what do you follow up with.

(would you make a different first move if playing against a computer rather than another person?)

To play right, or to play fast? I ask this question because often when playing backgammon or dominoes (but probably other games are similar), I often get people telling me to hurry up, get a move on, and often becoming very abusive and nasty. I usualy take about 6 or 7 seconds to move, but in certain positions when tough choices need to be made, can take up to about 30 seconds. Is it them who have the problem and should learn patience, or me that should always make a move within 3 seconds, even if it`s the wrong move? I usualy just tell them "if you want a faster game, you should be playing football not board games". I`d like to know the overall opinon of other players, and are there more people who think to play right is best, or to play quick. Also I`d like to know are others annoyed by being told to hurry up every time you take more than a few seconds to move.

The game I am thinking of was on an old computer, and I think it was the original Windows program--before Windows 95 I am almost certain, It was a rectangle and a little silver ball ran around it and then another chased it, You used the arrows to move the first ball down thru the rectangle to keep away from the other ball,
As the rectangle was cross-sectioned it would disappear, and you would have to keep within the rectangle or go around it ahead of the other ball, If you weren't fast enough the chasing ball could come down so far and zap your ball, I think there was three hits on your ball before the game was over. I could sit for hours and play it. I can't remember what it was and haven't seen it since, nor been able to find it with a search engine. thanks!

I wish I knew remembered the name of this game so I could look for one for my kids on Ebay or something. You had little bug molds and play dough and you made your own game pieces. Then if someone landed in your square, they got to take a bug squoosher and smash your game piece, and a little "squash" imprint was left on where your bug was. Then they took your spot. What was the name of that game? My little girl would love to play that!

Have an old board game from Milton Bradley 1937 called Oasis The Promised Land. Board in good shape and has all pieces. Board has a map of the Middle East with Israel labelled Palestine. Anyone ever heard of this game or how much, if anything, its worth?
