Games & Recreation - 3 February 2007

I have been playing games for 5 years or so but I am still a newbie, and I have a weird taste in games. I have a PS2 and I play games on my PC as well but it doesn't have a graphic card so when I play newer games on it I have to run it in the lowest resolution (if I can run it at all).

Recently I cannot find a game that I can play more than 5 hours into it. My personal favorites may not represent the bests from the market. I especially liked Dynasty Warriors 4, FF8, and pretty much any sports games.

Can someone please recommend some good games that you think would suit me? Or some underrated games that have not been very hot?

-no FPS
-PC RTS would be nice, not AOE, WC, or SC though
-I didn't really enjoy GTAs, Devil May Cry's, Okami
-no FFs, but RPGs recs would be nice

P.S. Besides the best selling franchises, what are some of the more underrated but good sports games? (E.G. 2K series instead of Live and Madden, etc)

I've been practicing with friends and online. I just have kind of a dumb question. How does the casino profit from it? I understand you have to buy-in with a minimum amount of chips, but if someone at the table is going to win the pot every round how does the casino profit? Just curious.

I have a question I have to ask. I work at a Casino and have been a cashier for a few years. What is it with people feeding ones and fives into the machine instead of a twenty, fifty or hundred. It all spends the same regardless of what bill you put in. I went to another casino and tried it to put ones and fives in and ended up feeding all the money in the same machine anyway. Is it psychological? Do they think it will last longer?

Okay, i am so hopeless at this game...first question...is anybody else struggling with this as much as i am? I am not a hard core gamer, but i got this game today and i am still stuck on the first Bolivia Level. This part is driving me crazy...okay so i just entered the temple and i am to the part with the little whirly spiky things in the floor...i cannot get across that dang pit! How do you do the whole grappling thing again so that i can swing across? I have tried like a million times doing different things...i'm really frustrated! Pretty self-explainitory. When I cast on and start knitting that row, I get this long tail between the needles that gets bigger and bigger, and it gets so long on hats and stuff that it gets all knotted up.

I figured maybe if I tried casting on differently, it wouldn't be so bad? Suggestions? I just do a basic sling-shot cast on.

Some guy I know never stops talking about it and he says he plays it all the time. I have an account on there, but I never go on there because I think its pointless and boring.
