Yeah but you have to update the firmware on your DVD player first--there's a lot of people who will do it...you just have to look around. I had a guy offer to do it for $55 dollars and then any burned DVD would be $5 bucks, but that's kind of illegal so I told him no way José ;-)

You can't use standard four-point-whatever GB DVDs--you need the mac-daddy eights...

You will need to burn them as a DVD Video file in a program like Nero. The Xbox 360 will play burnt dvds, you just need to make sure you burn them properly. You can also burn certain video files to a dvd or cd and play them on your Xbox 360, such as "H.263" and "H.264 MPEG4" files and "WMV" files. If you plug your Xbox 360 into your home network or straight into your pc, you can stream these video files straight to your Xbox 360 and onto your tv. You cannot play burnt software dvds on the Xbox 360, as each game has it's own digital signature that cannot be faked. You can however get a mod chip for your Xbox 360 to let it play burnt games, but this is not advisable and Xbox 360 mod chips are still relatively new and have a lot of problems, as well as the risk involved with damaging your expensive console.
