I have a question I have to ask. I work at a Casino and have been a cashier for a few years. What is it with people feeding ones and fives into the machine instead of a twenty, fifty or hundred. It all spends the same regardless of what bill you put in. I went to another casino and tried it to put ones and fives in and ended up feeding all the money in the same machine anyway. Is it psychological? Do they think it will last longer?

I am in the casino business as well, and there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why some people do the things they do when gambling.
I think it is psychological. A $20 bill and higher is considered "real" money. (Just like quarters are considered coins worth having, while pennies and nickels are relatively worthless.) So, if you feed dollar bills into a slot machine, it's psychologically "throw-away" money.
The other option is that people are putting their very last dollars into the machine. I am sure that this happens too.

they do that so if the machine their on isnt hitting then you dont have all that change to have to take to another to start playing.
