I just purchased a new eMachines desktop and I would like to play Sims 2 on it.

Here are the specs

2.6 GHz Pentium D processor
1024 MB RAM
ATI Radeon Xpress 200 Graphics

The door just wont open and there's not any message. I'm so confused. It's the game or is it just the cassette?!

I had twins on my first try at having a sim baby. They just had their first birthday and things have gotten crazy.I'm ready to let social services take them away lol. Its driving me crazy. The mom keeps passing out from not enough rest,food, all the bars going into the red because she spends all her time caring for the kids.The nanny is an old hag that does nothing. I've fired the nanny and hired new ones but its still the same. I tried moving into a smaller house so the kids would be closer to get to and care for.That wasn't much help either. One sleeps while the other cries,poops,plays in the toilet.Its a mess. Whats the best way to handle this without letting social services take them away? Are there any hacks to make the kids sleep and shut up so s.s. doesn't take them? Uhh yeah help me lol.

im hoping for around a avrge of 50-60? will i get this with my settings at 800x600 on all low settings? in a small 7vs7 server?

I have the McCall's 4678 pattern and I have cut out all the pieces and sewn the sock part of the booties/socks. Now what do I do with the 3 bottom parts and how do I attach them to the sock part?

Twilight princess finally got released for game cube, but was told that my order has been placed as a back order and no telling when it will be forfilled now. what gets me is why i see so many copies of it for the Wii sitting on the shelves at every store. are they forcing us to buy the Wii station if we really can't wait to play the game?

I would like to make a quilt/robe that looks like the following:

I know how to quilt, but I have NO idea where to put the snaps for this type of thing. I thought I'd be able to buy something similar to this for my son's girlfriend who is always wandering around our house wrapped in a comforter (it's not cold, I think it's just her lack of any body fat that makes her cold!). But alas, it is three days until Christmas and I haven't found this in any store and it's really too late to order it online--I'd rather spend a dozen hours making it than $50 on shipping! ;)

Any ideas or instructions are appreciated!

OK, so I was surfing around the net and found a forum that had a mod download for sims2 (PC). So I downloaded it, and all it gave me were 2 files. I put them in my CSBin folder and double clicked the PackageInstaller. It just came up and said "double click a custom content file to install the content" and has an ok button. I try moving the window and clicking on them, I press ok, and nothing happens.

Anyone got any ideas? Here's the link to the mods (have to register) http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=15286 Once you register you just have to go to the bottom of that post and it's there.

Note: mod is in win.rar format

As soon as I start trying to sew, the machine jams. As far as I can tell, I have the bobbin & top thread threaded correctly. My upper tension is set on 3. I need help. Can anyone think of anything that I can try to fix it?
