Twilight princess finally got released for game cube, but was told that my order has been placed as a back order and no telling when it will be forfilled now. what gets me is why i see so many copies of it for the Wii sitting on the shelves at every store. are they forcing us to buy the Wii station if we really can't wait to play the game?

hmmm...reading some answers already, i just would have to say, that i shouldn't get the Wii station, i have young kids that are so destructive, i know they would have a hard time keeping that type of controller in their hands, even with the straps....lol...took us long enough to get used to the controllers for the game cube when it first came out, having the collectors edition of legend of zelda, trying to play the old games....i guess i could look on ebay, but i am sure that if i find copies there, there definitely be a fight for them rising the cost beyond what i can afford.

well, searching through ebay, i found where all the copies went....hogs! they only bought it to resell on ebay, duh? bidding wars already, but none too much more than what i pre-ordered for, unless i want to use the 'buy it now' feature, which the cheapest i found was $65, shipping including, by the most reputable seller. and he was selling 9 copies! should i give him the satisfaction? my kids are really hounding me for the game for christmas, even late, and they have been very good this year, but all we have is the gamecube and we really haven't had it long. do you think the wait for my back order will be that long? how do i know how many back orders are in front of me with relation to where i purchased it to how many they receive at a time. so confusing, but annoying. anyone else with this issue?

Have you tried getting the one for the gamecube on ebay?

I think it may be a promotional strategy by Nintendo to get people to buy the Wii. Since LOZ:TW was one of the launch games for the Wii, I think most Zelda fans will get the WIi.

Since the next-gen wars has already started, developing and publishing similar games for the previous gen consoles seems impractical and not a smart move to do, don't cha think?

Although the Wii may have problems with the Wii-mote now, but I strongly believe that playing LOZ:TW would give you a more interactive experience compared to playing it on the GameCube.

It's the same case with the PS2. With the PS3 hype, developers are more interested to make games for the latter.

Well, I hopes this answers your queries.

Funny, now that I think of it there are always TP games in shelves fo rthe Wii but not once have I seen a GC version.
Anyway, the Wii is extremely worth getting. I bought it the first day and it has just blown my mind since.

Yes that's the idea, but you know what, the wii is totally worth it. Aiming the bow couldn't be easier or more satisfying with the wiimote. same goes for the clawshow (hookshot). and wii sports is tons of fun. This is probably the first launch that i never had a second thought about weather it was worth it. the The wiimote makes it feel much more next gen than prettier graphics, its new gameplay that's more enjoyable.

blame the stores because they consider the gamecube dead so only feel they should stock one version.

of course the gamecube version would work on the wii but the wii version is more expensive...
