I'm turning 21 soon and here's what most people ask me when they hear that: "Are you looking forward to drinking?" Or, "What are you gonna drink first?" It really annoys me because I have never drank alcohol and don't really have a desire to. I'm sure I will eventually, but honestly it's not that important to me. I guess this sounds strange considering that a lot of people these days love alcohol, but someone in my family was an alcoholic and caused a lot of trouble before they got help. So I want to be very cautious when I do start drinking. I never want to be an alcoholic. Now my question is, how can I kindly explain to people that it's not a big deal to me to start drinking, without sounding like I'm judging people who do like to drink?
