no...in my experience drunk people ramble too much when they are drunk...and they tend to see things their way a lot.

yep sure do. Been there, done that, no more drinking out of this 45 y/o. If you only knew, I could publiish a best selling novel that would all others at the bottom of the ratings! lol
Truth is best told sober, carefully and often need not be said to start with. As a result I am now single after 25 yrs of marriage, lost my best ( I thought were friends) and have to rebuild my life entirely from the bottom up.
If you drink, watch your tongue or just tape your mouth shut. Its too easy to babble. Many times those fun times you may not remember, but never fear, your friends and many other sources will tell you and the more they tell the story the better it gets. Small towns love it. Have a toast on me next time you
get a buzz, because the queen bee has spoken the honest, sober truth!

In vino veritas...in wine is truth. Alcohol does a good job of suspending one's inhibitions so if there is something on your mind that you wouldn't ordinarily say it comes out more easily when slightly lubricated. That being said, I've also heard some amazing whoppers from people who were completely inebriated. Like most old saws there is some truth to the belief and also some exaggeration.

Alcohol doe s loosen inhibitions, and sometimes a comment from people can trigger the response that the person under the influence might always wanted to have said.
Personally I have seen more evidence of truth under alcohol than not, and it is usually from people who do not have any kind of tolerance to alcohol at all.

Sometimes, but they often say the first thing that comes into their head. That may be the truth at the time or something that has been brewing (pardon the pun) for some time.

Sometimes, but that's not always the case. One time I was really drunk and I told one of my guy friends that I loved him, but I did not mean that at all. What I meant was that I really liked him alot as a friend, but because I was drunk the only think I said was i love you. lol It got taken completely out of context!!!

Definitely say things they wouldn't normally say, but the truth i can't say. As you know some people lie to themselves so I'm not sure about the truth.

As Alcohol is a depressant it dampens down the "fear" of doing and saying things. Therefore people can say things they wouldn't otherwise have had the courage to say. however that's probably not a good thing you have fear reflexes for a reason

I am told much the same.
I think it can give you more courage to say things you may not normally say, but only sometimes!
I think that sometimes, especially if you drink TOO much; you can say way too much and regret it in the morning.
In short be VERY careful when drinking!!!

No, people say whatever they want when they're drunk, not necessarily the truth. Not at all.
