One of my friends just drank a beer that wasn't ready yet and I was wondering how bad that is for him.

I was at a friends house, and he had some vanilla flavored vodka.
I was surprised at how smooth it tasted.
And I thought to myself, man this would go great with root beer schnapps, and I could call it a "Root Beer Float".

I looked in the bar tending book he had, and suprisingly, it was in there. So I thought about adding real root beer to it and real ice cream as well.

Sure enough, it was smooth, and you couldn't even taste the alcohol, and it was great. I highly recommend it.

In the movies, you always see people ordering a "bourbon" or "so and so on the rocks" and as someone that doesn't know much about different drinks, I am curious as to what drinks are considered "cool" and what drinks definitely are not. I like Long Island Ice Tea but I don't know how much of a knob that makes me. I have friends that drink rum & coke and I always wondered if they are considered cooler than me...based on the drink only of course.

I seen one in Italy, but it has a floating lid...that won't work for beer. Must be a completely anaerobic environment.

I understand the strain varieties there are in yeast, but i'm in a crunch and don't have ready access to those and i'm crunched for time. Does any wine authorities here think it will still work with grocery dry yeast?
