In the movies, you always see people ordering a "bourbon" or "so and so on the rocks" and as someone that doesn't know much about different drinks, I am curious as to what drinks are considered "cool" and what drinks definitely are not. I like Long Island Ice Tea but I don't know how much of a knob that makes me. I have friends that drink rum & coke and I always wondered if they are considered cooler than me...based on the drink only of course.

cocktails are by far the most sophisticated. mojitos, martini, anything of that type. or you can order scotch or bourbon on the rocks or neat. rum and coke is a little overdone. anybody can mix a spirit with a soft drink and make it taste good. the best drinks are the ones that are made so that you can't tell exactly what's in it but you know tastes great.

cool looking people don't have to worry aobut what they order cause they already look cool. haha
when I worked at a bar and men ordered martinis or mud slides or daquiris i thought that was GEY!! As far as cool drinks for men go order simple stuff, like rum and coke or bacardi and sprite. A beer is always cool as long as it is not O'Douls. When you are at a fast paced busy bar don't order something blended unless they already have it ina machine like a margaita. Order the simplist stuff. I like Vodka and redbull, it is cool and it'll keep you up for the party all night long!

To be cool is to order the drink that YOU want, not worrying about what makes you 'look' cool. If you have the money, you can be a snob and order the more expensive drinks to impress other people. Myself, I just have what sounds good at the time, or if I'm smart, head back home to get ready for another day.

1. Always drink what you like. Alcohol is food. Only a knob eats food that they don't like. That's why I'll never be a vegan
2. Beer is all around acceptable and attainable for just about every social situation.

Try a Sazarac up, sort of like a Manhatten but made with brandy. Very smooth, looks cool, and has a really cool name.

The coolest drink I have ever had would have to one that would make me blush at the same time that I was requesting it: A SLOW COMFORTABLE SCREW AGAINST THE WALL. Wicked good.
