As far as I know, there is no antidote to the horror known as peppermint schnapps. Seriously, there are several mixed drinks possible with it, the simplest being a shot shaken with ice and a jigger of cream. Add a jigger of Kahlua or a chocolate flavored liquer for another variation. And it is delicious added to a cup of hot chocolate for those who like mint and chocolate together. You can also use it to make a mint julep variation. Use a half jigger of the peppermint schnapps and one to two jiggers of bourbon whiskey over crushed ice in a tall julep glass, with a splash of club soda if you wish. This is good when no fresh mint is handy. And finally, there's one a college friend used to swear by, pineapple juice, a little Rose's Lime Juice and crushed ice shaken together with a jugger of peppermint schnapps.

Just reading the topic "peppermint schnapps" made me want to throw up!! I had such a bad experience with it! I drank it straight and did not realize how much I had really drank. Within 10-20 minutes Trees were moving...Beer cans were disappearing! I couldn't walk! My hubby and his friend had to hold me up so I could pee!!! It was BAD!!! This happened when my husband and I were just dating. He said he was sooo tempted to take me to the E.R. for alcohol poisoning. I cant even stand the smell of peppermint mouthwash to this day and that all happened about 7 1/2 years ago! Just becareful that stuff is dangerous. As someone else mentioned before you get drunk way quick on it because you don't realize how much you have drank!

Here's what I like to do in the winter when it's cold. Make a pot of your favorite tea. Take your cup and just line the bottom of it with the peppermint schnapps then pour in your tea. Sip and enjoy. It will warm you up on a cold/rainy day. Of course, moderation in all things, right?
Good luck and good drinking.

It's easy stuff to get drunk on. Mainly because you don't realize how much you've drank until it's too late.
I was humming and talking, (strongly) in my native accent
before I figured out that I had drank more than I planned to.
It's like drinking a Peppermint Italian Soda, I drank those like they were going out of style (which apparently they did) as a kid.

well, I have done it I shots before... it makes you all warm and tingly and you feel it go all the way down. It will be the most intense peppermint taste you can imagine. Just be careful, it's very think and sugary... it will be easy to get sick off of if you drink too much!

My roommate loved the stuff. Take a little and see if you like it. She like it with her peppermint ice cream as a float.
