Is wine fattening?
The calories in a 4 ounce glass of wine ranges from about 80 to 100 calories. Lighter wines tend to have fewer calories than heavier wines. Some wines are higher in carbohydrates than others due to their residual sugars. For example, a dry white wine may have 1 gram of carbohydrate where as a very sweet dessert wine could have up to 13 grams. Wine is fat free and contains no cholesterol.

Irina C is correct. It should be remembered, however, that other than the possible heart health benefits, alcohol is empty calories, so in a calorie-restricted diet, it's probably not the best choice for ensuring that you get all the important nutrients. But the point to remember is that wine, like most foods, is not fattening in appropriate quantities. Cheers!

only the most sweet styles of wine will have high calories but a small glass for all intensive purposes is not bad for you but remember all things in moderation.

sincer wine has not fat the calories wont add fat but may increase appetite, however the benefits of one glass of white wine on the heart outweigh the negative calories so I say go ahead.
