I have been trying to make ice cream with an ice cube filled motorized maker. I use 50% heavy cream, 50% 1/2&1/2 with vanilla and 1 cup of sugar. My ice cream never hardens to a soft cream that is should, why?

There is a particular allure in Mexican culture that magnetizes people to try out its cuisine. What is that particular allure.
