I'm really, really, shy, but there's a guy I like, and whenever I go up to talk to him, nothing comes out. What can I do to help me with this shyness? And I'm not shy just around men, but around everyone.

I have been dating a guy for almost 5 years. Both of us are recovering alcoholics. I recently found out he has been seen "alot" with another woman in AA for over a year. When I asked him about her, he said he did not know her... that she is just a woman who comes to meetings where he goes sometimes. About an hour later, he said he was her sponsor but that he didn't want me to know. I don't believe him because he lied to me about her. This is not the first time I have caught him in a lie, but he always convinces me that he is trying to change his old alcoholic behavior. I believe in that. But should I believe him?

In AA, it is not recommended for men to sponsor women. But sometimes they do. I am uncomfortable with this. I am told that they are together all the time and now they even work together down on skid row. I have asked him to tell her to get a female sponsor. He says God placed her in his life so he can "help her." I think he is full of it. What do you think?

I was completely in love with this girl. We have so much in common, our lifestyles are the same, we work in the same field, yet she's still in school. It was to be a year on June first. The day before, we discussed separating because she didn't seem happy. The next week she dumped me. It's now a month later...and she's engaged. I've had so many conflicting thoughts that I can't sort them out. How should I truly feel?

**Note: Girls, remember, guys have feelings too. We love, we laugh, we bleed, we cry.

I promise i am 100% absolutely positively NOT racist.
Well, ok, i don't attract ONLY mexicans, but it seems like it. Like i've liked a whole bunch of guys from different races (mexicans included), but the only ones that ask me out, or let me know they like me are mexican or half mexican. Maybe some white guys have liked me, but i never knew it. Is it me? or mexicans in general? i have no idea.

And i'm half filipino and half white (and 100% hot, lol), if that has anything to do with it.

I lost my virginity to him this year ( we're 26) and I know by my religious beliefs that it's wrong, and I can get into trouble, besides it's terrible to be hiding from my family. But he works in another city, and whenever he comes to town there's no way to avoid being together sexually. There are days when we can't stop thinking about it, and know he's coming to town again. I need practical advise on how to contain my desire and his.

You don't realize it; then, the person comes to your mind. You suddenly remember the person. You just can't forget about her.

Girls like the asshole type guys now. and they always have that ONE guy..the "good" guy, that they only see as a friend. But the thing is this Good guy is the one that trully likes her, and she's too into the asshole to notice it.
--And once the A**hole is over her..she turns to the "good" guy friend for someone to lean on..and he's over being the rebound guy--so he turns away.

is this right or wrong here? and what happens from then?

--nice answers please..
