All I can say is work all the issues out before marrying. Make sure any bad or annoying habits that you may think are cute now are something YOU can live with. Learn as much as you can about each other, like your feelings about religion, family, money, sex, working after babies etc. so you can know going into marriage how the other partner feels. I am sure if he is a good boyfriend and your relationship goes to marriage that you will both have a much better chance at success than if you were not sure of him and his love for you.

actually, it's pretty hard to answer this question, people do change. Any changes in the environment and circumstances can made a really good guy turn bad. But if he started on a right track many year back and can stay on his path, then most likely he will be remain this way. Like myself, I don't go clubbing, pub, smoke when i was a teen, now i am 35 years old, i hold firm even though there are many other friends around me who did what i don't. If his character is strong enough to withstand any negative influence either from friends or the environment, i will say he will be a good husband, not just 5 yrs, probably in his lifetime too. :)

Well, it actually depends a lot on both of you. Everybody had different standard on good husband and good wife. So how can we judge a good b/f(in your views) to be a good husband(in your views). he could be a good husband to u but a bad husband to us.So it is very subjective to everybody. You are the best person to judge if your b/f is a good husband or not.

Good boyfriends always have the potential of becoming good husbands. The real question is ...will he be a good husband for you? Meaning, what is the definition of a good husband to you. It varies from person to person.
