The same reason why good guys like me lose. Society has fixed it so that the more a guy treats a girl with respect & good manners, he is considered boring and weak, and the girls think the guy isn't worth a damn ( "Even the majority of good girls follow the same warped logic eventually."). Speaking from what I've seen in guys, there intrests in girls are mostly sexual in nature, and whenever they talk to them about whatever, they're also secretly want the girl of intrest to be sexually attracted them as well. In that kind of situation, the sluttiest & nastiest of girls win everytime.

I don't think anyone believes the good girl ever loses. A very public example of this is Tom Cruise. Nicole Kidman, the good girl, just had a fairy tale wedding in a Catholic Church with the man of her dreams. True love conquers all.
Also, don't you think Nicole Kidman and Penelope Cruz are thanking their stars that they are not in Katie Holmes position right now? Tom Cruise is a total whack job.

trust me. good girls never lose. i am a guy and i am 18. i have been around in a matter of speaking. trust me. either the guy you lost will come to you or you will find a guy that deserves you. i wish my girlfriend would have been a good girl. you have a lot going for you

Because there are too many bad boys on the prowl.
Not enough good boys to go round.
I'm 22, and only 2 guys have been interested in dating me, ever. And they still weren't up to my standards.
