Okay so I am trying to come up with a nickname for my friend Tori because everyone i know has one and she is a really amazing friend so anyways ... people call me freckles and i call my one friend dimples( its a lost thing) and i call my someone else lemonhead but i seemed to have lost my creative streak because i cant think of anything ( i wanted to come up with something using the first letter of her favorite things but i dunno... ) so heres so stuff to work with: reeses' peanut butter cups, switchfoot, aerosmith, goo goo dolls, christian(from nip tuck), and samantha (from sex in the city). i found(no i was not snooping,i had his permission to print something) an e-mail from an old gf on my husbands account.it was just sent and unread by him and i deleted it.this it what it said tom how are you?it was nice to see you again even if you did give me the cold shoulder.your kids are so big! mary. my husband never told me he ran into her but he must have had his 2 girls from his first marrage with him from her comment.i know this seams like no big deal but my husband left his 1st wife for her and they have a long history together.she has a profile on match.com so i know shes single and looking.so my questions are it sounds like he ran into her in like a store or something and they just said hi so why would she follow it up with an e-mail?what do you think she ment by "giving me the cold shoulder?"

Last July, my wife and I had a falling out with another couple and we haven't talked to them since. Both sides are friends with another couple, who just recently moved back to ther area. This couple has sent us a Christmas Card saying how they want to see us, and the wife wants to go over their tomorrow.

I don't wish to bring them into our fight with this other couple, and have no problems with they still being friends with them. But, the wife of the couple who just returned is a huge gossip. I know she will be asking about what caused the falling out, and, the moment we leave, will be on the phone with the other couple. We are hoping to eventually work this situation out with the couple we are at odds with, and do not need a gossip pouring gasoline on a dwendling fire. How do we handle tomorrow's inevitable questions?

My friend is a divorced mother of 3, the dad has the kids for a week for Christmas, her parents don't celebrate Christmas, so basically she is by herself for Christmas. She told me earlier today that she might want to go get drunk or something and she'd call. I assume she doesn't want to go out no since it's 9:30 now.

Should I call her and say something to try to make her feel better?

I'm 15 years old and I want to make friends with a mid-twenty-year-old female teacher. Does anyone think that it could happen? (When I say "friend", I mean IM'ing her, calling her, hugging her every day like actual friends do.) Don't ask why, I just want to. She's awesome.

I actually like her! LOL
She doesn't wear jewelry, perfume etc...lives in Montana (cold) but has all the required stuff...If you ASK her, only a phone call once a month from her grandkids! Easy, the only other thing I thought of is a family pix of all 5 of us, but to trick her and have her sit with us as well. (she'd love it). Any other ideas though?
Drawing a blank and her birthday is also Dec 29 and her son is NO HELP!!!! Ahhhh Need another idea besides the photo.

Ive known this junior for only 4 months and Im just a freshman, and now we're just like the best friends ever. He knows that i like him a lot, but I still treat him with respect and I don't want to push him, so he and I are on really good terms. However, sometimes I feel as if he's beginning to like me. I don't know. I feel lucky having a really close guy friend like him, maybe I'm just too sensitive. But I really really do like him.

She acts really weird and gets mad when I hang out with other people. She gets mad over stupid things and says some strange stuff. My so-called best friend is a gay male. We met in college because we both liked drinking and dancing. It was always a surface friendship that we perceived as being much deeper, but never truly was. The more I get to know him (known since 1998) the more I realize we have very little in common. He lies to me and I've busted him. He keeps sleeping with this same horrible person who has ripped his heart out despite my advice and then lies to me because he knows I will ask him why. I don't see how I can continue in a friendship that is going nowhere and especially with someone who calls me his best friend, but lies frequently. When I think about ending the friendship, it doesn't make me sad. Almost seems like a relief that I won't have to deal with the gay drama anymore. His reaction would be horrible as he thinks everything is fine. He also recently asked me to move in with him. In my better judgement, I can't. How do I handle and/or possibly end a friendship and tell him I won't move in??

There's this guy that I really like. Except, he knows that I only like him as much as 2%. Sometimes, I really want to talk to him every chance I get because he is also my best friend. Some people say that he likes me too. I just say that I don't believe 'em 'cuz I don't know if it's true. Sometimes I wish that he likes me as a very close friend too. We have a lot in common. Now I don't feel the way I used to feel around him before. Now, I feel like I just like him as a very very very very very very very very very very very close friend and brother. I am an only child and he is too. I keep on wondering how that feeling just suddenly went away. Then I realized that he doesn't care if somebody likes him or not. I think he's really sweet and funny.
