My dad moved to a new city 6 months back and me and my mom had to come with him. I joined a new school. I took some time to make friends. Now I've made like 15 friends but i still feel lonely. My new friends are not that great to be with. I don't have much of a choice because everyone is like that here. I miss my old friends a lot too.

okay so this dude is a friend of mine and we're pretty close... he used to give me signs that he liked me too and we've flirted quite a bit in the past but then another girl came into the picture and yep she's a close friend of mine. he's totally into her and same goes with her but she's already got a bf. we hang out a lot, the three of us.. and it just hurts like a ***** when i see the both of them canoodling. what do i do? throw myself off the balcony? start a business selling pickled anchovies? opinions please.. thank you.

..okay, it's like this, i'm feeling out of place with my friends and i think they are replacing me with another one of our friends, who we hated just last year..and one of our friends is (i think) avoiding me..what should, and what can i do to be "in" in my group of friends again...? and what's the limit i shouldn't cross to make them think i'm trying too hard?

I know it sounds harsh, but Im serious. I am a family oriented person. This girl is my age(35) single and has one daughter. OK. She is a recreational drug user. Thats really none of my business, except she asks me to babysit. I usually do because her daughter is pleasent to be around. I know if I say no she will send her daughter to her Oxy dealer for the night.
Here is the deal. She NEEDS me for every freakin thing. If I dont answer the phone after the the sixth or seventh time she will come knock on my door. When I finally answer the door........all she wants to do is share a smoke and talk about her wild night of drinkin.
I just want her to leave me alone. I dont want to be mean. I really dont care if she thinks Im rude, I just want to get my point across. We are neighbors, and our children are friends, so I do have to be nice.

I am a male, I have a friend who is a female. We are (or at least was) close friends. She invited me to her high school dance as friends, we had a great time together and took pictures. But then after that saturday, we ended up argueing and fighting. I took my rage on to her and now she thinks I am anal. I didn't mean to hurt at all. I had a bad week after the dance. We concluded that we both need space. One day she posted up on her myspace saying "the closest friends hurt you the most" I didn't respond to it because I know she needs her space. I have been in Orlando now for about 2yrs and I haven't really made any friends. I was wondering, is it just me or is anyone else having this same problem? I don’t know where to go exactly. I have tried school (two colleges) and church. I’m a bit lost. I don’t really have too many "hobbies", I like to do a lot of things, plus I like to try most new things. I’m 26.
