My dad moved to a new city 6 months back and me and my mom had to come with him. I joined a new school. I took some time to make friends. Now I've made like 15 friends but i still feel lonely. My new friends are not that great to be with. I don't have much of a choice because everyone is like that here. I miss my old friends a lot too.

You made friends so that's good. They're not going to be as good as the friendships you forged through your whole life. You need to give it time. You will weed out the not that great ones and eventually find that you have a few good friends. It takes time. Best of luck in the future.

You need to give yourself more time. Having lots of new friends is exactly that... They're new... Your relationships are not very well rooted yet. Give your new friends time. Some may not be potential best buds, but after spending some time with a few, you'll know them better and can choose who you really like. Just remember, they are getting used to you too! It's a give and take thing. In the mean time... maybe you could buy a couple cheap calling cards and talk to your old friends... Sometimes it helps to tell your old friends what you are going through... Give it time, think about how you became friends with your old buds, then move towards building new bridges! Good Luck!

If you're still lonely then they can't be very good friends. Good friends should be there for you! I always find you make the best friends doing the things you really enjoy. So if for example there's a sport you're particularly good at - or like a lot - go to practice and meet people there. Then you'll have something in common with them, and that will help form a bond.
