With my friends I'm usually the funny one making jokes, talks really loud, and like to be the center of attention. but if i'm not like that one day everybody will be asking me if i'm ok or if i feel bad or sick. Is it so hard for them to except that i'm not going to be overly excited and act stupid just because they want me too or so that i can put a show on for them. I'm human! i can't always be that way and be they're entertainment. does anyone else have a situation like this?

Many times, I would go to a gathering of some kind for the first time. I would see people having conversations with others at the gathering, but no one is interacting with me. I've told that I need to interject myself into others conversation in order to meet them and get to know them.

The thing is, I'm a natural introvert, and from my point of view, this would feel like an awkward interruption into others' conversations. I try to not be an egoist, but I feel that new people should be approached by someone, such as a host, and be invited into conversation instead of feeling like I have to bully into them. Is this a fair assumption to make?

I tend to feel that if I'm not invited into others' conversations that they don't have any interest in me. I know that's a paranoia at work, but doesn't the expectation that new people being in the assertive role simply an acknowledgement of a heavily-favoured extroverted society? Thanks in advance for any insights and opinions on this subject.

One of my close friends and I got into an argument yesterday during government class. I had saved her a seat next to me for class. Other students were wanting to sit on that seat because there werent any more available. She finally walks in the room and says she didn't want to sit there. She said it was uncomfortable and preferred to sit on the other side. I got upset and she asked me if i wanted to go with her to sit on the other side. I definately without a doubt said no, and she got mad because of that. Today we tried to talk it out but she says that the decision i made was to MY comfort. What do yu think?

hi. my online friend told me that she hasn't heard from a friend in iraq in the past 2 days when they had been talking to each other each day, so she's really worried and scared about him not talking to her (she told me he has a cell phone so i guess they've been able to talk each day), so is there any advice that i can give my friend to help her deal with this? (i've been trying to help her feel better past 2 hours but she's just really worried)..thanks

One of my closest friends at work is leaving and going to another job. I'll still see her every couple of weeks or so, but aside from a gift card I wanted to get her a little something for good luck in her new place of employment. Any ideas that don't include gift cards?

My friends and me have always agreed that we shouldn't go out with black guys because most of them are players. But lately my friend Isabelle met this guy and he asked her out, and she said yes. This guy's black, and I don't want to sound racist but even though the guy seems nice, I know she will end up getting hurt. What should I do to break them up without Isabelle knowing that I did it?
