With my friends I'm usually the funny one making jokes, talks really loud, and like to be the center of attention. but if i'm not like that one day everybody will be asking me if i'm ok or if i feel bad or sick. Is it so hard for them to except that i'm not going to be overly excited and act stupid just because they want me too or so that i can put a show on for them. I'm human! i can't always be that way and be they're entertainment. does anyone else have a situation like this?

Same thing here. I am known in my circle as "the party". One of my friends called another friend and asked if she knew where I was and she answered "the party is over here"!

Unfortunately people get there hopes up when I roommate with them. I'm actually very introverted. Not shy! Just introverted. I just prefer my own company and keeping my own counsel. Anyway don't worry about what others think. Know yourself.

I can't relate. No. I can give you what I think to be a pretty good clarification though:
You've got this all wrong. I don't think you're friends look at you as a puppet or a clown to amuse them. They just know that you act a certain way on a regular basis. So when you are around them acting a different way (a way that seems like you are 'down' or not feeling well) it's only natural of them (as good friends) to be concerned and ask you if everything's ok and see if there's a reason why you're not your normal bubbly self.

yeah, I do. The exact situation. They always act those dumb questions when I'm serious. I just tell them that I'm tired and don't feel like talking much or acting stupid. If not I tell them that I'm in a serious mood and that I want them to be my entertainment today. They understand, but they always tell me that they don't want to steal my thunder which I think is stupid. I know they don't want too because they don't want to look stupid or be loud like me lol Only eventually they do it for me hahahaha. I'm sure your friends understand. It's just that there use to seeing you act the way you do.
Ciao and take care. Don't sweat it to much.

im in the same situation but i think u're being a bit irrational. no one expects u to put on a show for them or be overly excited. ur friends n acquaintances r just concerned when u dont act ur usual self. so the next time they ask u, dont piss them off or give them a curt and rude "yeah....duh!" or whatever!! just dont give them an attitude--tell them in straight words that u no, u're not always the class clown or up for laughs. tell them that u get lost in thoughts at times or whatevz. also, thank them for their concern n tell them [dont lie abt this] that if u DO ever feel bad or sick, u will let them know =].

Hi Stacy. You sound really exhausted. I am sooo sorry. All I can do is tell you that you are right to get away from trying to make everybody happy. It is like a hamsetr wheel, so don't stay on it. Be the quiet, shy, lovely girl that you are.

If they pressure you to be something you don't want to be then just don't be it!!! If you go that. LOL. If they ask you, say you're fine. When you get hyper tell them that it's a sugar rush and that it only happens when you eat sugar. That way you can sort of control when they'll expect you to be off the wall.

I totally know what you are saying! I'm generally that same personallity...the happy, good time, life of the party...but there are times when the bubbles fizzle out and my chipper attitude drops below "E". Eventually, my friends figured out that if something was bothering me, that I would say something. Otherwise, they just let me have that day, moment...whatever, to re-energize myself.
