Friends - July 2006

ok...about a month or two ago me and my mom got into it and werent speaking for awhile...she had planned a trip for the 4th of July to go to Arizona to see her best friend. I had went with her once out there and we had a blast. So when i heard she was going again i asked her if i could go and she said no. i couldnt believe she said no because we were back on speaking terms.So i was disappointed because i wanted to go but i made other plans for the 4th of july weekend, which included moving into my apartment.so i complained to her friends about her not wanting me to go so they talked to her and convinced her to let me go...so then i didnt really want to go but one of her friends wanted me to drive with her up here...so even tho i didnt want to go i went anyway because they wanted me to. so now im here and i dont really want to participate in their activities because im tired and wish i was at home moving into my new place. so should i participate in their outings or stay in the house?

I'm 30 years old and my mother is bi-polar, she is in and out of psychiatric hospitals and makes horrible personal decisions regarding men in her life and has even landed herself in jail. I chose to move away from her to keep myself and my daughter out of her drama. I feel guilty though, mostly because my little sister (age 22) lives with her and has had to deal with it all. Suggestions? Anyone else going through this?

okk i have this boyfriend and i have been dating him for 9 months... and i love him a lot.. and well my dad thinks i am like a slut or something and we havent even made out yet which i no is kind of weird.. my dad is always like come down stairs, dont shut the door, and a lot of other stuff too... and he just glares at me everytime my boyfriend is over... i am sick of him.. my dad hasnt really liked me since my parents got divorced when i was 4! what shoud i tell him?

my sister and i would always hang out every saturday go eat and spend the day with our kids now that her friend moved in she doesnt call me or we dont go any where i do feel hurt and i guess jealous so if she dont call me i dont call her and so we dont hear from each other what do i do and please dont say call her and expalin to her how i feel becuase i dont feel thats right

and they have a 12 month old baby , would you report the boyfriend for what he's doing? or stay out of there bussiness? Even if you knew by accident the 12 mo. old had at one point got her hands on something that could of killed her if she ate it??? They just happend to wake up and she was carrying it in the bag!! would you be worried enough to report this to someone??

i work really hard for my money, and i went out and got the job on my own. shouldn't i be able to decide how i spend my money?
i am not a "crazy spender". i actually spend about half of it on food for my animals. and i have a budget that my parents approve of, but now they're saying that i have to save some of my paycheck, and save for college and a car and that i have to pay my church money. it'd be one thing if they were just giving helpful suggestions, but they are FORCING me.
do you think that they are being unfair? how do i get them to listen to me? i have tried calmly sitting down and explaining to them, but i always end up getting really pissed off and storming off.
