stops people from interacting with each other?

I don't mind chilling out at home by myself, or even with my girlfriend while watching television.

But.....

I hate going to friends' houses who seem to have the television on just to have it on. People get distracted, and stare at a box instead of interact with each other.

Anyone else feel the same?

i have subscribed to sky + last april after 2 years with NO television and regret it badly, they are charging me £25 a month to see the same programs over and over and over and over again i am totaly dissatisfyed with the service and want out on what grounds could i cancel, thanks all for replying.

First of all, this is possibly the dumbest most unrealistic show I've ever seen with terrible acting (and I mean terrible). And the story lines? Gag me with a stick. They aired the SERIES Finale last year, and now they brought it back? Why? What are they trying to prove? Any openions, let me know. PLEASE!!!!

Not just during the adverts, though at least it's not as bad as cable or Sky. When I play video games or a video the volume is quieter than the normal TV signal, it used to be almost the same. Also some programmes seem louder than others, particularly those pointless fly on the wall documentaries, usually about some wannabe loudmouth girl.
