You're right-there are quite a few goodies that I loved...but my all-time favorite was and is "High Chaparral". It showed the dirty, sweaty side of life in the west and I liked how they treated the subjects of the Native Apache (they were not always the bad guys) and the Mexicans and the whites who were living and working side by side...all in all, the show was beautiful to look at, well written and well acted! I can't wait for it to come out on DVD!
