I was on vacation and missed big brother all last week , and since they don't have re-runs I wanted to catch up before tonights show. Can anyone give a breif run down of what I missed since last Saturday July 29th? Thanks in advance. By the way if your not a fan please no rude comments, I do have a life , this is just a fun summer show my husband and I enjoy watching.

Captain Power, Centurions, Count Duckula, Pound Puppies, those Koala cartoon guys, those red shirt animal friends, those humans in animal outfits, Bozo, ........ Some retro sites don't even seem to remember them. Most people I know can't even remember them.

Me, I can't touch coffee if it's been sitting on my desk for 15-20 minutes getting cold. So how does Dave do it? I've seen him, halfway through a really, really, really long and painful interview, just swig it down like there's nothing to it.

Does anyone refill his mug during commercial breaks?

Is he just faking it, and the mug's full of water?

Is there a gigantic bucket behind him, and he just waits for the cameras to cut away to the band?

And If the coffee IS hot, after all, which guest on Letterman, so far, has been most deserving of having the whole contents emptied on their head?

At the turn of the century Americans were proud of their intelliegence, and it was popular to demonstrate it. Now our tv is filled with all sorts of truly mindless entertainment for us and our children (with a few good options buried between, but not as popular). "Smart" became the catch word, with "smart"= short and simple (simplistic?). When was this switch to let the media think for us?
